Has anyone else had a dark brown discharge after a pelvic exam that later turned into a clear mucus discharge?
I am 28 weeks pregnant and was checked to see if i was dialated. The next day I had a brown discharge and today it is a clear mucus discharge, only when i pee and not a signifigant amount. The doc at the hospital said all this is normal, but the clear mucus discharge just happened and I don’t know what to think. It’s been two days since I got the pelvic exam. Any oppinions would be great as this is my first baby and I don’t know what to expect!

Its totally normal. You will produce loads of that mucus. Its all the extra hormones. As for the brown discharge its just old blood from being poled and prodded in a very sensitive spot. Congrats on the baby everything should be fine from here on out.

Your doctor is right, there is nothing to be concerned about. It was most likely old blood that discharged due to his prodding. It’s ok don’t worry you will have alot of discharge during pregnancy. Be alarmed only if you have bright red bloody discharge. Good luck with your baby, you are getting ready to really fall in love!
