What do you think is the cause of my brown vaginal discharge?

I am on birth control, a low dose pill and I have sex with no condom with my boyfriend because of this. Both of us have only ever been sexually active with each other.
Now I know that usually brown discharge even with a stringy quality in some cases tends to be old blood, but I also have a yeast infection. I want to know if the brownish discharge is related to the yeast infection (though I can’t find anything to support that it is a symptom of the yeast infection). OR if it is plainly old blood or the possibility of something else. There is no odour at all, so I hesitate to think BV. It has persisted for a week before my period and now that my period is done, the discharge continues in small amounts. Thoughts?
STD- you must go to the dr and get checked it can be any number of things now that you are sexually active

Sounds like breakthrough bleeding to me. Call your doc and talk to him about it in the morning.

Liver failure… someday you will die.
In the mean time get to a doctor, you will be fine.

You can have BV without odor.

A yeast infection will give you a white discharge not brown. I don’t think its blood b/c there has to be some biochemical modification to blood for it to change color (thats why blood is not brown when you have your period).
I can’t think of any cause for brown, odorless discharge but I would go to the doctor if I where you and I will also watch my boyfriend a little closer. Oh, I will use a condom also.
