    We have that species here as well along with Black Widows. It is rare that you ever hear of anyone who gets bit by one of those in this area. I don’t mind spiders, but I much prefer them out in my garden.

    i love anything that has to do with the word “fiddle” for sure…but….this lil mennace i could do with out….thank god Arizona has doesent have these spiders here.

    I also read where the Brown Recluse can live up to 7 yrs! They can also live for months without food or water, which is pretty scarey, so if any of ya’ll ever use the glue traps be very careful cause even after months its possible they could still be alive & still bite. It was a big ordeal for me when I got bit & it was the absolute worse pain I have ever felt, the pain went all the way from my breast to my arm & neck. Ill never forget my experience with that lil’ devil.

    Contintued..It left a scar about the size of a nickle, thankfully though I went to the ER that same day, because the pain was so intense, we bought the glue traps & that does help alot, but we still have them to this day (its a older home) but now Im extra careful about everything, it really sucks to live that way too, I have 3 small children so Im just glad it happened to me when it did, otherwise I wudnt have known about them, my husband is a electrician & says Every house round here has em.

    We live in West TN, & when we first moved in this house I didn’t know anything about the BR. I got out of my shower one day back in 2006 & went to put on my bra! (of ALL Freaking places!) got completely dressed sat down to watch tv & felt something tickling inside my bra, I thought it was maybe a ant cause we had been spraying for ants that year, so I made a big mistake by trying to kill it by smackin’ it inside my bra, and it bit me 2 times, luckily is wasnt a big one, but it took 1 yr to heal

    LOL…thats country accent. Not Australian. Nice chick though, and the info was very useful. That spider looks really similar to the huntsman spider, now i know the difference :D

    great vid! thanks i had no idea about the fiddel shape,thanks thats helps alot! my friend back in the day got bit by one of those, eww it stank and it took months for to heal. you look great in front of the forested area good backdrop :D
