im 100% sure it is a brown recluse and i have to clean the garage b4 my dad gets home. "bout 3 hours" and im apsolutly scared of spiders. is there any way to catch it so i can get to sleep 2nite??????!!!! thanks

I notice there are a lot of brown recluse spiders in my house, and I know that a daddy long leg spider can eat a white tale and/or other spiders that wander in its web. Soooo would importing many daddy long leg spiders aka house aka cellar spiders, get rid of them?
So far bug bombs and other chemicals haven’t worked.
It would be nice to have a harmless spider take care of very harmful ones.
hmm, ur okay with spiders as long as theyre harmless. well, if a daddy longlegs gets swallowed by accident, u can very easily die. and it could happen while sleeping, hiding in a glass, or fell into food from ceiling. seriously, ripping off the legs gives u like a suicide pill. they actually have some of the most deadly poison on earth, but luckily, their injecting chelicerae are way to small and weak to to bite us. but if you engulf all the poison, as the body digests, the poison is released to semipermeable membranes, and yes, their poison is permeable and doesnt need direct blood stream injection. dont get me wrong, i WOULD NOT want to live around brown recluse, you forget about a little bite, and in a week you lose you forearm. get your house fully insulated, fumigated next time you go away for a few days, or now, i would, like just stay at a friends/family/motel.
I am in central Oregon and just found a fairly big white spider. It has brown stripes along each side of it’s back. Can anyone tell me what kind of spider it is?

Amazing Medical Stories 2002; Brown Recluse bite that happened to Dale Losher in Pekin, Illinois on May 2002. The apartment complex he lived in was infested. These things are for real. The Tazwell County Health Department confirmed 24 out of 24 spider samples he sent in from the apartment were deadly Brown Recluses. The map of the BR territory was moved up to Chicago, Illinois after this. Still years later people are finding and identifying BRs in the area and yes there are more bites.

I found a spider out the front of my house that was brown/black with a white stripe down its back. It was pretty big. It has a large abdomen. I can’t find what it is. I live in Australia too.
Can’t promise I can answer since I haven’t seen Australian Spiders, but it would help if you post a picture or more description.
For instance, does it build a web?
If so, is it an orb (spiral) web or a flat web or a funnel web (like an old sock the spider lives inside. If so, don’t get near it)
If it doesn’t build a web, does it run on the ground, live in a hole or in a tree or what?
This spider was huge and beautiful. It had long hairy like chocolate brown legs with a creamy vanilla colored back. I had never seen anything like him before. It was hiding in my garage. Open field in my neighborhood brings in all sorts of insects.
