Brown

I found a great dress for my cousin’s wedding. Its held on halloween, and the reception is a costume party. The dress is the important thing, but I cant find any information on what goddess I could go as. The dress comes in red, as well, but I think that might be a little flashy for a wedding.

Brown could be assocoated with Demeter who was the Goddess of the Harvest.

My hair is a medium shade of brown and I’m thinking of doing purple highlights. I really don’t want to bleach my hair because that alone is damaging enough. I’d much rather apply the purple highlights to my unbleached hair instead.

Would purple highlights look good? I’m thinking of going to Manic Panic’s Ultra Violet hair dye. TIA!

Yes it would look great! I have brown hair and purple highlights myself! But you have to bleach your hair to get it to show up. The thing about purple and pinks and blues, etc, is that they are stains. So they need a lighter color to grasp onto. So you have to bleach your hair or they will barely show. And manic panic does not work. I tried it. Only stayed in for a week. Go to a hair stylist and have them do it for you. It stays in longer and looks better. And it’s not that expensive.

I’m repainting my room so it doesn’t look like a 3 year old lives in it anymore and I can’t decide on a color. My furniture is dark brown wood and the colors of my pillows and sheets are a light purplish blue mixture. Are there any neutral colors that match?

tan. Maybe try sponging, it’s a technique where you paint your walls one color (lets say tan #3) and then take a spoinge and go over your walls with (tan #6). I did it and love my walls. You can go to home depot, it’s relatively inexpnsive…youcan even get a dvd on how to do it. Happy painting!

My hair is dark brown, but I’m getting it done this weekend. I’m getting layers and I want to dye my hair underneath the layers vibrant purple. Any suggestions? Do I have to use bleach or will it ruin my hair? Pleas answer as fast as you can thank you.

i have dark brown to black hair, and when i was in high school i had the entire bottom section a beautiful vibrant purple!!! i still loved how it looked and had tons of compliments.

BLEACH IT, THEN DYE IT. worked for me. but the bleach will deff. make yer hair a little crispy in the end when everything starts to fade. but the first several weeks/months my hair was actually silky smooth.

My hair is a darkish natural brown, but about a month ago I dyed parts of my fringe and other bits of my hair with the schwarzkopf purple dye. But now the purple bits have faded to a dark purple/red color so I’ve decided to dye those bits with schwarzkopf cosmic blue, will it turn out blue? or because of the already dyed purple/red bits will it come out a mix of that and the blue?

If it does mix, it may mix to a purple. I would suggest lightening your hair first of all to see if you can lift the colour off, that might work, and also might make the blue quite intense!
