I first had internet access in 1996. I had plenty of free time and spent most of it online surfing random websites, playing games and generally wasting my time. It wasn’t till December 2006 I grew an interest in creating my own website and began to wonder where the websites I was visiting continuously, were created.

So, I swapped the time I was using saving the world from one eyed aliens to read mainly articles and forums. There is so much information out their to help a newb like I was get started, one of the most useful forums I have found while being online is namepros.com, it has a great , helpful community and excellent information to read.

After getting an understanding of where the websites come from and how they make money, I decided to get started myself. It took me around two weeks to purchase my first domain.

I started online with literally $0. I needed a way to create a few bucks quickly with no real knowledge of earning online, I wrote a few articles for around 4 different people at just $2 each. I was determined to get started online, one of the articles I did was 3,000, yes, I did a 3,000 word article for just $2.

With the hard earned money I had in my PayPal, I bought my first domain, I wont disclose what domain it was but I later sold it for 20 times what I paid shortly after purchasing it. The sale motivated me to carry on trading with domains. I bought more domains with the money I earned then sold the ones I purchased for a decent amount.

Just over a year later, I have learnt a TON and now have around 200 domains. I have tried other methods of generating revenue online, the next direction I would like to go online is with affiliate marketing. In my blog, I’ll be posting on my progress and sharing with you the methods I use that are successful for me, things I’ve learnt and personal opinions, not just for affiliate marketing but many other revenue techniques.
